And of course some highlights on the impact. More research is needed to consolidate the true impact of the strategy. I believe these effects are sustainable! NB: The TCRA level price reduction has to do with the determinations on interconnect charges, applicable to voice products only. Otherwise, data bundles treat voice as data....interconnect charges are not applicable. I am really interested to know how others are doing it. Dear Dr. Ndemo and Walu, Having participated in driving the reduction of prices of broadband connectivity in Tanzania (core/transport Backhaul) by over 99% compared to 2009 prices; it is now time to agree on what we mean "Broadband". Further, I suggest we seriously agree on what it means to connect xxxxxx to ICTs, to help/guide all researchers in reporting about meeting the WSIS targets by 2015. Please recall...the first six targets are about connecting xxxx to ICTs. Here they are: 1.To connect villages with ICTs and establish community access points. 2.To connect universities, colleges, secondary schools and primary schools with ICTs. 3.To connect scientific and research centers with ICTs 4.To connect public libraries, cultural centers, museums, post offices and archives with ICTs. 5.To connect health centers and hospitals with ICTs. 6.To connect all local and central government departments and establish websites and email addresses. Dr. Ndemo, comming up with a harmonised definition certainly will help data collectors to give our region a fair reporting. I request your thoughts on this. Listers Once again please see the draft AU Convention on the confidence and security in cyber security. http://pages.au.int/sites/default/files/AU%20Cybersecurity%20Convention%20E… Is anyone aware of the team drafting this Cyber Security Convention? Have any Kenyan groups been part of the development process? Any info from CCK? The draft will be opened up for signature and ratification in January 2014. The draft justifies unwarranted restrictions on freedom of expression, unlimited intrusion into the privacy of individuals and corporations. It also criminalises unsolicited electronic communications among other challenges. Henry Maina of Article 19 and Victor Kapiyo may want to share the legal perspectives on this draft and what it would mean for Kenyans. RgdsGG
