Dear All, agree with Washington, he should have left earlier while his reputation and conscience was still intact. But will put a damper on the "great work and congratulations" that is being thrown his way...Kenyan's deserve better, to be treated with respect and should demand the best...in terms of good corporate governance accountability etc. We hope others on the board and indeed other institutions are clear about conflict of interest and their responsibility to Kenyans. regards Wambui From: eadera@idrc.or.ke Date: Thu, 24 Apr 2008 17:27:53 +0300 Subject: Re: [kictanet] Kenya ICT Board member quits amid controversy CC: kictanet@lists.kictanet.or.ke To: wambui@live.co.uk Good corporate governance, accountability and transparency are key! It's great to know that there are sould in KE who still have the capability to "recall" conscience. He should have left earlier if it was intact, but it's still good enough as an example to those who simply can't go. I congratulate him on this step. -- Best regards, Odhiambo WASHINGTON, Nairobi,KE +254733744121/+254722743223 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ "Oh My God! They killed init! Kimacia's decision to quit the ICT Board was correct. While we are on this subject, can CCK come clean on why a recently appointed KCCT Board member who runs the largest call centre in Kenya, has now been awarded a contract to train call centre agents for KCCT? Isnt this conflict of interest? Dr Ndemo, over to you. We require accountability accross the board.
