ITU Announces New 'Access to Information' Policy

Fellow KICTANeters, Figured it was time for my first post to the group. I've talked with a few of you about a desire to learn more about multilat policies as they are under discussion and before they are already ratified. Our Coordinator for Communication and Information Policy sent me this today, and I thought it might be of interest. The ITU has announced public access to its documents replacing the old password protection. Now the public should have full access to proposals and ongoing conversations - Press release below - happy reading :) Warm regards, David Economic Officer U.S. Embassy Nairobi Sent from my BlackBerry 10 smartphone. I'm not sure these two issues are related. ITU has made their resource Resources Open, while the Ministry has not finished editing the Policy. After all, the policy must be made public, because it's ment for public consumption. ______________________ Mwendwa Kivuva, Nairobi, Kenya twitter.com/lordmwesh

@David, This is a great move by ITU - to open access to their rich source of research data. However the link below still asking for passwords. Find, share and compare the world’s most reliable country data on ICT access: Log in - My ASP.NET Application | Log in - My ASP.NET Application | | Any idea why this is so? Or maybe CA has the open-access password they can share? walu.
