Hi all Just wondering how the stakeholder session for the regulations will be structured. I can't see the programme on the CCK website Such a programme is necessary to know what is discussed when and of course the time available for submissions What is the capacity of the stakeholder workshop - is it a comments gathering or a negotiation platform where necessary? Regards Muriuki Mureithi .
All, I read in todays Standard that this consultation has been delayed until the 18th and 19th of October. -- Cheers, McTim "A name indicates what we seek. An address indicates where it is. Yes. I also believe this was necessary because stakeholders require proper time-frame to study the proposals and structure their input. Being given only a week (including a weekend and IDD ul Fitr) was a big joke. We are back to the 60 days I suggested. The ball should then be left rolling, lest we start crying foul, once the regulations are made into law! A delay is what we can't afford to hold. On 30/09/2009, waudo siganga <emailsignet@mailcan.com> wrote:

I am not sure how much consultation has gone into fixing a new date for the stakeholders forum? Although no date will certainly be "convenient for everyone" I think its worth noting that the dates of 18-19 November coincide with the IGF in Sharm - el -Sheikh (15-18 November) and my sense is that a sizeable number of those who would be at the regulations forum wil be away. Waudo
Waudo is correct, it's November, not October. Apologies. -- Cheers, McTim On Wed, Sep 30, 2009 at 11:34 AM, McTim <dogwallah@gmail.com> wrote:
