PUBLIC NOTICE STAKEHOLDERS CONSULTATION FORUM ON DEVELOPMENT OF POLICY AND LEGISLATIVE FRAMEWORKS FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ARTICLE 34 OF THE CONSTITUTION The Ministry of Information, Communications and Technology has established a Working Group to align the ICT sector policy and legislation with the Constitution of Kenya. The mandate of the Working Group is to develop a draft policy and bill for the implementation of Article 34 of the Constitution and to undertake consultative meetings with relevant stakeholders and members of the public on the draft proposals. In this regard, the Working Group has developed a draft ICT sector policy and a draft Kenya Information and Communications (Amendment) Bill. The Working Group is scheduled to hold a Stakeholders Consultation Forum on 9th July 2013 at the Kenya Commercial Bank Leadership Centre - Karen to discuss the draft regulatory instruments. The Forum will kick off from 9.00 am.
