Just a quick update... AfriNIC is the continental organization mandated to manage and distribute Internet Protocol (IP)- resources in Africa. IP is that unique number you and I need to connect to the Internet. So yes, AfriNIC is important, you just did not know how important :-). And they held elections last Thursday for the West, North African Board members and 1 non regional representaive.
