crypt field not been populated during user creation
Hi Gordon, i install the latest exim4u distribution but when i create new users the crypt file those not contain any data. i currently have the previous version of the exim4u distribution which is working fine. is the issue from my end or has anything relating to the crypt filed been change in the new version? Thanks Kebba
Nothing has changed regarding the crypt field. There is probably something wrong with the configuration on your end. Make sure that you have the php mcrypt library support module installed. The name of this module differs by OS but its called php-mcrypt under RedHat/CentOS, php5-mcrypt under Debian/Ubuntu and libmcrypt in FreeBSD. FYI, Gordon On 03/30/2011 08:49 AM, Kebba Foon wrote:

Hi Kebba, Are you using Debian 6 Squeeze by any chance? I just noticed two posts on the Vexim mailing list that referenced a known problem with Debian 6 Squeeze that causes blank "empty crypt" fields. This is a known problem. Please refer to http://code.google.com/p/vexim/issues/detail?id=4 which includes a modification to config/functions.php that solves the problem. I will investigate this further and I will consider integrating this modification into the Exim4U repository which would be included in the next Exim4U release.
