Sure I am missing some thing silly here some where I can resolve names fine host google.com google.com has address 74.125.79.99

But I am not sure how too debug exim further

found the problem at least for that I hadnt changed the location for mysql.sock which in freebsd is /tmp/mysql.sock Thanks Terry
