Convert cleartext passwords to SHA512 crypt

I am migrating about 250 users to a system where I'd like to use SHA512 crypt as the standard. I have been using the old versions of exim4u which still has the cleatext password field. exim4u+DMARC

Hello everyone, You are all way too silent. Hope you are well. I was just wondering about the possibility of having exim4u configuration that integrates DMARC verification and reporting. Is that something that one of you is already doing in your setups? If not, is it something you guys are feeling you'd want to do? Local Part Empty

Hello list, While creating a local domain I used to receive a welcome message in the admin account with a "From: Address" and a clear formatted email subject. Now running Ubuntu 16.04LTS and php7.0 I used the exim4u from github which I cloned locally with git clone and now the welcome email has lost the local part in the "From: Address". I only have *<empty>@domain.tld*. Also the email subject has become "no subject". Checking the email headers I found out that the related script is *siteaddsubmit.php* (when adding a new site) and *adminuseraddsubmit.php *(when creating a new user I have same empty fields in From: address and email subject). Also in the scripts mentioned above its mentioned "*GLD fix for bug in welcome message to blank local part*" and I tried the proposed fix which only worked for the destination admin email but the email subject and the "From: Address" remained empty. Can someone help around here? Regards, Neza.

DNSBL question

I hope everyone is well, it has been a long while. I am wondering if others use DNSBL and what they might do about random ip addresses that show up on the Zen DNSBL such as cell phone provider IP's that get used for people to send email from their cell phones? I have run into it twice now, once with ATT and again with T-mobile. Also, how to ensure that DNSBL lookups are turned off? And what provides the functionality? I think it is exim directly, and within the acl's? or does exim4U do it a bit differently? Thx for any and all info/answers. Helmut

php 500 errors

Hey guys; I'm at a loss here.. Have a centOS 6.9 server, just installed, actually it's my test server, as I was looking to move from my existing mail setup to using exim4u. No extra repo's installed, (just webmin) everything updated, and upgraded with yum. - let me know if you have questions on versions. Got everything installed, and looks to be ready to roll. I hit the web interface, Log in, first time, forces a password change, complete that. Get the screen, hit add local domain. Fill in the information on the domain, and the postmaster account. Hit Submit, and get a 500 server error. Bad thing is, there is NOTHING in the Apache error log. - if I hit F5 after the 500 error, I do get a couple undefined index errors, but I don't think they are related. exim4u admin interface error

Guys, I am getting an error when trying to update a user through the exim4u web interface. I am logged in as the domain administrator. I cannot disable the enable spam box or enable spam box report checkboxes. The error message I get (in the ribbon across the top of the web page) is: "Exim4U Email Admin - tld.com - user could not be updated." I CAN enable those checkboxes successfully with no issues. I CAN log into the phpmyadmin interface as the configured database user (exim4u) and make the change there; this was just to ensure that there were no database permission issues. There are no log entries in the apache or mysql log pertaining to this failure. Any ideas or help? Helmut

All, I am getting emails that are seemingly dropped from the inbound processing. I noticed these as I am an eBay user and my normal emails were not making it to me. very verbose logging

Guys, I am having some issues with particular servers sending emails to my server. Those other email server administrators just tell their users (who I found out from) that it is my email server problem and they do not want to help. I can send to them no problem, but not receive from them and zero log entires of their server contacting mine at all. I saw an entry that enabled verbose logging in my exim.conf: log_selector = +address_rewrite +all_parents +arguments +connection_reject +delay_delivery +delivery_size +dnslist_defer +incomi ng_interface +incoming_port +lost_incoming_connection +queue_run +received_sender +received_recipients +retry_defer +sender_on_d elivery +size_reject +skip_delivery +smtp_confirmation +smtp_connection +smtp_protocol_error +smtp_syntax_error +subject +tls_ci pher1 +tls_peerdn but my logs look no more verbose than before. Any help? any other ideas to track the incoming connection, or determine if there actually is one at all (i.e. maybe it is some failure before they even try to connect)? Thx! Helmut
