The issue on Safaricom's unregulated dominance. It's the only way to survive. Even with the merger Safaricom will end their existence. <https://mailtrack.io/> Sent with Mailtrack <https://mailtrack.io?utm_source=gmail&utm_medium=signature&utm_campaign=signaturevirality&> Regards, Job Muriuki, Skype: heviejob On Sun, Apr 8, 2018 at 1:14 PM, Jevans Nyabiage Miyungu via kictanet < kictanet@lists.kictanet.or.ke> wrote:

What ails the Telco Space in Kenya? 1. Is this dominance talk about how strong Safaricom PLC is a self fulfilling prophecy? 2.What really ails competition in the sector? Is it a case of real #MarketFailure, Regulatory failures or simply lack of execution from Safaricom’s competition? 3. Is a duopoly better for the market? 4. What happens if the merger actually happens and it is unable to stem the red ink? I’m yet to be convinced that two donkeys will make a racing horse. Safaricom has a predictable productline. The other two are so unpredictable that customers keep away. I once said I can profitably run Telkom Kenya based on the assets they have. They always get their marketing and branding wrong. If one ever listened to Michael Joseph, he had a lot of hints on how he turned Safaricom from number two to number one. I keep on listening to the executives from this firm and for sure they know what they want to do to stay at the top. All the best to the chasing pack because they can't measure up to what safaricom is doing to stay at the top. ~ Peter On Mon, 9 Apr 2018 4:54 am Ali Hussein via kictanet, < kictanet@lists.kictanet.or.ke> wrote:
