Re: [kictanet] Unveiling Module 5 of the Digital Enquirer Kit on Online Gender Based Violence

Hi Listers, For the past nine months, KICTANet and The University of the West Indies with the support of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH has been developing an e-learning module on Online Gender Based Violence. We are pleased to share the e-learning module to people interested in becoming allies in tackling OGBV, survivors of OGBV and stakeholders concerned with women's digital rights. Here is a snapshot of what you will learn from the module: https://lnkd.in/dRmbmH4e Angela Minayo Program Officer- KICTANet KICTANet portals KICTANet.or.ke <https://kictanet.or.ke/> | Twitter <https://twitter.com/kictanet> | LinkedIn <https://www.linkedin.com/company/18428106/admin/> | Facebook <https://www.facebook.com/KICTANet/>

@Angela Minayo <aminayo@kictanet.or.ke> this is great news. There was a time when violence was meted out physically but in this era the amount of online violence is shockingly high and on an increase. Perhaps the most alarming aspect of this is that not only the seemingly weak persons are on the receiving end but even accomplished powerful people in society. There is a need to sensitize the masses on this scourge that's wrecking havoc on the moral fabric of society. It's reach knows no borders or physical presence.
