Kenya IGF: Call for Presenters and Panelists

Dear People, Based on the topics that were solicited from the mailing lists, you are kindly invited to select which topics you would be interested in giving a presentation. The working group is going to organise some topics to have panelists who'll collectively contribute to the discussion(s). If you are interested in becoming a panelist member or making an individual presentation please reply to this e-mail by indicating your name and the topic. The topics are outlined below. This call will end on Monday 24th June. 1. Topic: Devolution and the Counties -> (Would require a panelist discussion) Issues to discuss: Decentralising of ICT into the county governments Facilitating citizen participation in governance Business opportunities in the counties: Are companies/professionals ready to engage? E-governance: Discuss E-governance in the counties from service point of view. 2. Topic:Broadband Infrastructure and the Strategies for the last mile connectivity Issues to discuss: NOFBI: The National Optic Fibre Backbone IPv6 Connectivity The Broadband Strategy 3. Topic: Electronic Voting and lessons garnered from the 2013 Kenyan general elections -> (Would require a panelist discussion) 4. Topic: The Universal Access Fund 5.Topic: OpenData: Success or Failure? 6. Topics on Cyber Security: a) The Cyber Security Master Plan: A critical look at the Cyber Security Master Plan b) E-Commerce: Do Kenyans have trust? -> (Would require a panelist discussion) Issues to Discuss: - E-Commerce Regulatory Environment - The Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) - DNSSEC - Mobile Money Security and Reliability 7.
