We were referred to you by Mrs. Irene Wanyoike, APSEA Chairman. We received an invitation from a nominated MP- Hon. Godfrey Osotsi, who is sponsoring the ICT Practitioners bill in the National Assembly as a Private member bill. We are therefore inviting KICTANET members, to join APSEA in discussing the key highlights of the bill and to give input. The meeting to discuss has been tentatively scheduled for Tuesday 5th February 2018, the venue is Professional Centre and will start at 9.00 a.m. Kindly confirm your availability to attend and also confirm representatives of KICTANET who will participate. We will appreciate the confirmation and number of representatives for logistical purposes. Regards, Shelly Mwirichia-APSEA.
Dear Grace, I couldn't find the information below on the website. Please can you advise where I can get it or if you have it, please can you share it? 1. How is KICTANET organized (i.e. functions, roles, people and governance)?2. What is the process by which KICTANET chooses what to work on and priorities?3. How is KICTANET funded?4. Who is funding this year's budget? 5. Does KICTANET have a strategy and annual work plan?6. As a multi-stakeholder organisation how does KICTANET maintain transparency and public interest (to avoid big money driven agendas that potentially harm/exploit Kenyan public e.g. economically or socially). I apologise in advance if I missed out an obvious source of this info. Please help as I would like to increase my participation and champion some issues as advised by members. Good day,Patrick. Listers There is still no soft copy of this bill yet, but we are organising to have a scanned copy which will be shared here, so that listers can interrogate. In the meantime and as we wait for the bill, we can have those interested in participating giving their names. The Chair of APSEA indicated that their board room can hold around 15 people. If you are interested in participating, could you kindly inbox Grace Mutungu for coordination? Please please, inbox Grace Mutungu nmutungu@kictanet.or.ke, or nmutungu@gmail.com.
