Listers We have been really silent about open data for a while. It's time we take stock and ask whether we can breath new life into this initiative. Ali, Open Data is on the strategic plan for MICT and ICTA. See http://www.icta.go.ke/draft-ogp-action-plan-kenya-2014/ I have heard users of that platform say it does not have updated data sets. The Kenya ICT Action Network (KICTANet) is a multi-stakeholder platform for people and institutions interested and involved in ICT policy and regulation. The network aims to act as a catalyst for reform in the ICT sector in support of the national aim of ICT enabled growth and development.

There are also emerging new initiatives like the County/Focused initiative in conjunction with Strathmore and the Governors' council called Utawalaafrica.org.
