Just stumbled accross this interesting article: http://www.recode.net/2016/6/30/12066794/how-to-facebook-follow-unfollow-see... *"What you see on Facebook is determined by a computer — a News Feed algorithm, to be precise, a piece of software that combines things it knows about your interests with stuff people post to give you a personalized stream of content. On Wednesday, Facebook updated that algorithm, meaning it will start showing users more posts from their friends and family, and fewer posts from brands and publishers (like Recode). But what if you like seeing posts from brands and publishers (like Recode)? Or you don’t like seeing posts from your distant cousin Alfred who has that obsession with sculptures made out of food?Well thank goodness, there are simple tricks in News Feed to fix both of these problems. Come hither. Interesting..Good to see that Facebook is continuously making changes that in this case may not necessarily be good for Big Brands..Or for their bottom line. But hey..you can't make everyone happy all the time right? Seems like some people may already be griping about this ..:-) Ali Hussein Principal Hussein & Associates +254 0713 601113 / 0770906375 Twitter: @AliHKassim Skype: abu-jomo LinkedIn: http://ke.linkedin.com/in/alihkassim "Discovery consists in seeing what everyone else has seen and thinking what no one else has thought". ~ Albert Szent-Györgyi Sent from my iPad

I think in such stories are lessons for local eco-system players. Be it in policy or corporate circles. For instance.. sometimes it just makes sense to adjust some small policies - just slightly - to accommodate things like Digital Currencies. And to actually ride with the wave not against it. After all, what really are our institutions in comparison to the might and global presence that Facebook has? #JustSaying On Sun, Jul 3, 2016 at 10:55 AM, Ali Hussein <ali@hussein.me.ke> wrote:
