Hi, I now know why shell\BP are exiting Kenya, with a CEO like Mr Obath (now Chairman of Federation of Kenya Employee), says that implementation of the government directive on NSSF contributions for domestic staff is not feasible because of the resources required for registration and remittance you understand why. Can Mr. Obath please go and register for mpesa, ZAP or any other mobile money transfer system and then tell us how long it took. He also needs to know that the ID information is now digitised therefore allowing for mobile registration. With executives like this and techies raising issues about 3G no wonder we are unable to move forward. I actually found this news clip ridiculous! I mean the point raised by this NSSF board member really is lame. It takes a month to setup the corporate Mpesa service(business numbers) and due to size MJ could make it even faster...so this issue about queues and all is just lame. I am wondering does NSSF have product develpment/ICT departments and couldn't these functions advise the bosses accordingly?or is another case of tired heads steering a sinking ship! Hi, I can assure you there is a tender being prepared for the supply of 100 pcs for use in implementing this directive. And you wonder why this country stagnates, "Inchi ya kiti kidogo ni inchi ya watu wadogo" Robert Yawe KAY System Technologies Ltd Phoenix House, 6th Floor P O Box 55806 Nairobi, 00200 Kenya Tel: +254722511225, +254202010696 --- On Wed, 27/1/10, emmanuel.khisa@kadet.co.ke <emmanuel.khisa@kadet.co.ke> wrote: From: emmanuel.khisa@kadet.co.ke <emmanuel.khisa@kadet.co.ke> Subject: Re: [kictanet] NSSF & Domestic Staff To: "robert yawe" <robertyawe@yahoo.co.uk>, kictanet-bounces+emmanuel.khisa=kadet.co.ke@lists.kictanet.or.ke Cc: "KICTAnet ICT Policy Discussions" <kictanet@lists.kictanet.or.ke> Date: Wednesday, 27 January, 2010, 13:01 I actually found this news clip ridiculous!
