Are you a BBI Supporter and you do not know? IEBC asks

Listers, If you are a Kenyan citizen, this is for you. Were you ever approached to put your signature on a document in support for the Building Bridges Initiative? I know most of you will say 'naaa' IEBC says you might have endorsed that document that politicians claim will take you to Canaan faster from your current state. IEBC asks Kenyans to verify if listed as BBI supporters without consent https://www.standardmedia.co.ke/kenya/article/2001400835/ iebc-asks-kenyans-to-verify-if-listed-as-bbi-supporters-without-consent Where is our lovely Data Commissioner in this mix though?

Thank you for sharing the article, I however can't seem to find the link for doing the verification. On Thu, Jan 21, 2021 at 4:12 PM David Indeje via kictanet < kictanet@lists.kictanet.or.ke> wrote:

According to this article https://www.the-star.co.ke/news/2021-01-21-iebc-publishes-verified-bbi-signa... , There are 2 PDF files with lists of names that people need to look through. However the information hasn’t been organized in Alphabetical order for counties or even people’s names. I therefore wonder how people are supposed to scroll through over 15,000 pages just to check if their name has been listed. Having an online query system would have been much easier in terms of user experience. People would simply key in their three or four names and check if it matches with their ID numbers or any other identifiers that were provided. Also isn’t releasing the names publicly putting people’s live at risk in case of targeting? https://www.iebc.or.ke/election/?Building_Bridges_Initiative One would have thought that IEBC would put the data in a searchable online facility - or maybe it will make their servers crash?? Given the sizes of the two files presented (105MB and 37MB) only people with computers will be able to do (assist with) the verification. It will be a hard task for those using phones. I could still find double registrations despite the 'cleanup', like this one below... Good observation Washington. A quick scan shows a scheme to shore up the numbers.
