Blow to local tech buy outs
Hi, The following article is a sign that it will be a little longer before any US based companies will be knocking doors in Kenya to buy up startups; http://gigaom.com/europe/why-european-startups-should-be-furious-about-auton... It is therefore time that we found local solutions to getting our startups off. Robert +1. The Autonomy-HP issue is a pointer to the stringent financial reporting and transparency required in the global commercial space. Lets not even start with start ups...Some of our blue chip companies wont even make it to the starting line up in a due diligence process. That's why the discussions on whether Silicon Savannah needs a dose of rain to start sprouting genuine growth is an important discussion which requires much attention. This is all about the ecosystem that is required to support this growth.
