Talking of ICANN as by last week only 7 persons from the whole of Africa had applied for the open positions through the NomCom (http://www.icann.org/en/announcements/announcement-2-29mar10-en.htm). This is despite complaints pre the Nairobi meeting about perceived biased decision-making in that organization. Ironically this is a year for a good chance to get another Board position for the continent from the 3 open ones. Applications extended to 15th April.
