Notes on workshop on development of a BPO industry in Kenya.doc
Hi Edith, Attached are some notes I scribbled from the BPO workshop. Included are some questions I felt were not answered. Pardon the lack of analysis/order. I've copied in listers as some may find them useful . Overall found it a good workshop to attend. I think we should have had more time to discuss issues arising. Would have liked to see more industry stakeholders there too. Victor DFID, the Department for International Development: leading the British Government's fight against world poverty. Hi Victor, I have read your notes and notice you only mention the off the cuff comment I made on the prevailing lethargy within the industry. I believe I focused on several other pertinent issues some of the key ones being: - Need for capacity building - Need for institutional alignment - Collectiveness in industry growth and many other important issues. Maybe you could add the above to your notes? Kind regards, Gilda Quoting Victor Gathara <v-gathara@dfid.gov.uk>:

Gilda, Noted. I'm sure I missed out quite a bit from others too but I just noted what was of particular interest to me. My notes should really be seen in that light.
