Voter Reconciliation Possible
Hello Listers, Since all those who voted in the just ended election were identified positively by the KIEMS kit, it should be possible to make a next step beyond publishing the register of voters to producing a list of people who voted or did not vote per polling station. This not only helps with the verifiability of the election results. It also helps to clean up the register of voters by zeroing on ID numbers that did not vote as more likely people who have passed on. Wananchi can help flag such entries if the list is presented in the same way as the voter register prior to elections. Thinking this is doable out of goodwill and transparency by IEBC, or can be incorporated as a requirement in improved election laws. Great thought, This was the virtual 'turn-out' count (verification) that we all participated in when we were voting. Would be an important marker of the eventual total votes for the presidential. The red flag would be greater numbers. Less numbers would simply mean spoilt votes, refrains etc. On Thu, Aug 24, 2017 at 11:04 AM, John Kieti via kictanet <kictanet@lists.kictanet.or.ke> wrote:
