The network seeks to contribute to the development of a sustainable information society and knowledge economy across the African continent. Applicants for the position should have an Honours or Masters degree in economics, law or politics and preferably with a focus on ICT or infrastructure policy and regulation. The applicant must have at least three years research experience or work experience in the area of policy and regulation and webskills will be an advantage. The successful candidate will be responsible for: . Identifying, collecting and collating research data and assisting with analysis for and preparation of public policy papers, requiring competence in online research, extracting information from reports, working with databases, administering questionnaires and conducting interviews; . Assisting with the preparation of presentations and reports, requiring competence in presentation software packages, and publication in academic publications, requiring knowledge of academic style and formatting; . Assisting with the preparation of proposals and tenders and the writing up of research products, requiring excellence in written English. The post is an annual contract with possible extension subject to funding. Salary is related to experience and qualifications.
