Online TV and Radio in Kenya
Bwana Ndemo, While we are on your Presidential bid, could you tell us why Kenyan TV and radio stations cannot be watched/listen to online consistently!! I've been very frustrated while on travel or when I want to follow breaking news on the go. It just doesn't work....most of the links are offline! (camera offline etc etc) What is wrong? And what needs to be done differently? Media houses on the list may also want to tell us what's happening? Edith
Edith, Our private sector sometimes take too long to implement technology. They are best placed to explain why they have not exploited on line services. Ndemo. Edith While we wait for responses, next time you should try http://www.kenyamoja.com/ It aggregates content from the main television stations and some ten radios. It is a good way to keep yourself updated on what is happening at home. And while on this Radio and TV thing, there is this petition to have Classic FM which has been brought up by one "very bitter parent" (whom I support fully BTW) - http://warioh.wordpress.com/2011/10/14/maina-and-quarcoo-cut-the-crap/ I'd really love to hear what the listers' opinions are regarding the Classic FM's morning show featuring Maina Kageni and Ndambuki. My position: There is no need to have CCK or KFC (I don't know which body regulates Radio content) sitting there pretending to "regulate" when this kind of material is repeating over and over in Classic FM. It's good the PS, Dkt. Ndemo is here. Perhaps he can help us, in the Kenyan spirit of "tunaomba serikali itusaidie". On Wed, Nov 2, 2011 at 17:08, Grace Githaiga <ggithaiga@hotmail.com> wrote:
