Nick, You are right.. But come to think of it how well prepared is our country to handle any Natural Disaster of any Kind? My take on the issue of disaster preparedness and response is that we should move beyond raising awareness and sensitization of Government Officials and come up with concrete proposals and initiatives on the same under a PPP framework. Maybe this is an area that corporates can explore as part of their CSR programs. For example, in any emergency, the first thing that gets chaotic is communications.
