Has anyone tried the digital passport application?
Would be very interested to hear citizen experiences of the online passport application. See attached advert Regards, -- Grace L.N. Mutung'u Nairobi Kenya Skype: gracebomu Twitter: @Bomu <http://www.diplointernetgovernance.org/profile/GraceMutungu>
It's commendable but what's the point of stopping halfway? Why should I then print out the completed form and go physically to the dept? I guess this is a case of glass half full.. I guess they have to take a realtime digital photo of the applicant to confirm "authenticity". Maybe it controls fraud but not a larger extend. ______________________ Mwendwa Kivuva, Nairobi, Kenya "There are some men who lift the age they inhabit, till all men walk on higher ground in that lifetime." - Maxwell Anderson
I just came across another one for digital Driver's Licence Renewal. Seems like with this one there is the 3 years option, which is not available at Posta. This are good steps! 2015-02-06 15:15 GMT+03:00 Mwendwa Kivuva via kictanet < kictanet@lists.kictanet.or.ke>:

Nice steps BUT ... the DL is so medieval for crying out LOUD. How many times will I be arrested that my DL now looks like a blanket? ______________________ Mwendwa Kivuva, Nairobi, Kenya "There are some men who lift the age they inhabit, till all men walk on higher ground in that lifetime." - Maxwell Anderson
Hi all, I have tried to renew my DL. However there are Data Validation issues which I hope they will address. I had to go to KRA to have my details corrected as the required C O C number on my DL was bringing up another name. I ended up renewing it there so hopefully it shall be having my right details when the time comes up again in 3 years. :) However, overall a good step in the right direction. Rgds, L.
