Re: [kictanet] KICTANet Digest, Vol 168, Issue 16
Thanks listers for this information sharing. I have promptly resigned from a party that I never registered for in the first place! Gosh! Kind regards, Herbert On Thu, 10 Feb 2022 at 17:33, <kictanet-request@lists.kictanet.or.ke> wrote:

Some conspiracies abound that if you login to e-citizen and click the COMPLETE button, you get enrolled into a party by those managing the platform. They sell your data to the highest bidder.

@Grace Githaiga <ggithaiga@kictanet.or.ke> looks like they finally caught up with you. I've been in this party apparently since July 7th 2017. Outta this world!
@David Indeje <davidindeje@gmail.com> yes you're right I bet they'd take me through a litany of rules if I was to vie through this party. Let me inform my friends they could leave the various parties they've been inducted into as you indicated - without their knowledge!! Thanks for the heads up

Kathy I also did not know that I belonged to some party since May 5, 2020. I have never bothered to check. But this is wrong!

David, I had never checked which party I'm 'registered' under until now. I've always wondered what the flip side could be. Seeing as I have apparently been registered since July 2017 ?? if I wanted to run on that party, I could claim that as my membership right? As long as they don't ask me to pay for membership since 2017, then perhaps I could resign from this list to run for a position ?. (It's wrong use of my information by eCitizen nevertheless even as I make light of it)

Dear Listers.,
With the 2022 Kenyan elections on the horizon, the electoral body has concluded the voter registration exercise and is currently set to
audit the
voter register.
On the other hand, do you know which party you have been registered under? Kindly do check out yourself, here <https://orpp.ecitizen.go.ke/services/1/apply/1>.
Are you mad you have been registered under the Azimio, UDA, TIP TIP, Jubilee or any other party and you would love to purge yourself from it? Worry not, you can self purge from that party here <https://orpp.ecitizen.go.ke/services/2/apply/2>. You will have a 7 days grace period for the request to be approved.
On a lighter note, who is resigning from the Listers Group to seek an electoral position?
