<please circulate> An online content marketing company based in UK is opening its Kenya branch office, and is currently looking for a dynamic Web Content Editor to join their expanding web team. The Web Content Editor will be based in Nairobi and will manage the content lifecycle for all Kenya online content. Preferred Candidates to have: - Degree in journalism, tourism, hospitality or online marketing from (1st Class Hons or 2:1) from a reputable university - Experience producing multimedia for the web - Experience with content management systems; and e-mail campaign/opt-in program management. - Ability and desire to learn web-related technical concepts - Practical knowledge of web development and web technologies - Familiarity with/working knowledge of basic information architecture - Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills - Have an impressive portfolio of projects that are marketing / web related - Ability to meet strict deadlines - Meticulous and pays attention to detail - Ability to work on own initiative Experience in the hospitality industry or online marketing is an added advantage Role - Responsible for day to day management of website - To edit and publish online content - Manage a team of content providers - Provide direction and strategy - Manage customer service interface (email, web, sms, and phone) - commission and manage work from freelance writers and other contributors - manage feedback and blogosphere - Provide practical tips and tricks of Search Engine optimization Instructions for applicants: Please email your resume and covering letter to hiring@aja.co.ke Deadline for submissions: 15-Dec 2008
