Kenyans to provide DNA, house satellite data for IDs

Kenyans to provide DNA, house satellite data for IDs https://www.businessdailyafrica.com/economy/Kenyans-to-provide-DNA--house-sa... First this is extremely reckless without a data protection law. Already we’re worried about how the government is using the data it does have about us and now we want to take it all and put it in one place? Second why exactly does the government need to know all of this additional data about me that they don’t currently collect? Finally, this won’t be cheap particularly with the additional data they want to collect. Who’s paying for this?

Good points there. Security is still an afterthought for our government. CS Mucheru please shed light on this issue. We should move fast ahead and then will have to fight over with cybersecurity and privacy later. On Fri, Apr 20, 2018 at 7:42 AM, Sidney Ochieng via kictanet < kictanet@lists.kictanet.or.ke> wrote:

@Cephas, CS Mucheru #Resisted this list so he doesn't read it officially, but maybe through a pseudo or proxy, so I doubt he will respond directly. On 20 April 2018 at 11:25, Mwanah Cephas Okoth via kictanet < kictanet@lists.kictanet.or.ke> wrote:
