ICT Park Talk: Download the Presentation

Hi all, After the great talk by PS Bitange Ndemo today, here is the presentation for you to download: http://www.mediafire.com/?imw3htowfzk Regards, Mblayo!

Thanks for the efficiency Brian. This will also be placed on the CSK website www.cskonline.org shortly. Waudo "Those who say it cannot be done should not interrupt the ones doing it." -old proverb

Hi - I have been sharing this Park info with WITSA colleagues and the initial reaction is some surprise that such a major project is proceeding apparently without a feasibility study. Did we touch on this in the meeting or is there a feasibility study and where can one get it. Did I hear correctly that the PS is not so much for studies and is this an official policy? Kind Regards, Waudo On Thu, 21 Jan 2010 17:13 +0300, "Brian Munyao Longwe" <[email protected]> wrote: Hi all, After the great talk by PS Bitange Ndemo today, here is the presentation for you to download: [1]http://www.mediafire.com/?imw3htowfzk Regards, Mblayo! Waudo, I must admit that I am embarrased to read your post. It is very clear that you did not go through the presentation even as you came late. Your WITSA colleagues have not gone through the presentation either. If they did, the ninth slide will have shown them clearly when we shall present the visibility study. It is my considered view that feasibility studies are excuses to waste resources. We only do them to satisfy the curiosity of those trying to find reason why we should not expand the economy. In a highly competitive economy you them. However, you do not need someone to tell you that we need more beds in Nairobi to boost tourism or build a mass transport system. In fact the feasibility study of these projects was done when we decided to pursue the Vision 2030. Have a wonderful week my brother. Ndemo. Dkt Ndemo, I have tried to download your thusday's presentation during the town-hall meeting at Chiromo but could only get six slides, excluding the 9th one you refered to. Is there someone who has managed to download the entire presentation? Could someone please act to ensure we obtain the correct version. Liko should also provide the timeframe when we expect to see the report for the same meeting to enable informed discussions. All in all, i wish to thank the PS for his participatory approach to public policy issues. Hi All, I would like to apologize for not being able to attend the talk after all the farce I had created about it. My pda was set with the date of the 22nd and I did not remember to change it to the 21st. It is for such a reason that I had proposed that we have the session recorded so that those who could not attend would be able to go through the presentation as I am sure that the 14 slides are not fully self explanatory. If the session was recorded can we please be told how we can get a copy and how much will it cost. Alternatively can we have it uploaded onto the IPTV site then all can have access without the need to download large files. If the session was recorded can we please be told how we can get a copy and how much will it cost. Alternatively can we have it uploaded onto the IPTV site then all can have access without the need to download large files. Waudo, You are still not understanding. What was presented by the PS is a Concept Paper. A feasibility report will be forthcoming (in April?) Basicallly your contacts are jumping ahead of the gun, since when do you conduct a feasibility before you have a well thought out concept? All, I found this interesting especially in light of the talk by PS on the Malili technopolis. Great if space could be found in the technopolis to accommodate the iHub!
