Mr. Wambua, I recently watched a feature on K24 on how people are mugged in Uhuru Park that indicated that the USSD wizards used some Telcos to help with SIM card registration can allow one to update the registration details of a previously registered SIM card with new information. The journalists had laid a trap with a new phone and SIM card, only to find their SIM card was already registered with another persons information which made it difficult to follow up with the police. This means that someone can overwrite a genuine SIM card registration with new info. Please have your concerned team verify this and perhaps you can add some enforcements around this. Can someone please explain to me what happens when Safaricom recycles numbers into the market? By recycling, I mean numbers that have not been in use for some duration end up being put into the market again. Does CCK also de-register the previous owners of these numbers before they are registered to the new owners? Secondly - I have heard complaints that these recycled numbers are NOT 'cleaned up' - like unsubscribing any PRSPs subscriptions which may have been activated by the previous owners.. Should the new owners be subjected to this pain? CCK, please explain. On 11 December 2013 20:18, John Kariuki <ngethe.kariuki2007@yahoo.co.uk>wrote:
