TRAI Order: A Sledgehammer, not a scalpel
Policy analysis of the Indian regulator’s ruling. Nanjira I think so too. Unfortunately that's what happens when you poke the bear - as Facebook did with its heavy handed way it handled the 'PR & Marketing' campaign during that period. Some even say they simulated a DDOS attack on the the TRAI Website. Sober minds are required. I have always said that the Internet is like our road infrastructure. It's too important to be left to the vagaries of the profit motive alone. We are yet to build a viable multi-stakeholder commercial proposition. Until we do we will continue to have these unnecessary fights.
