Law to regulate ICT people will wipe out gains
....ICT is different. Once connectivity is in place, all you need to be a player on the global ICT stage is a computer and an enquiring mind. Anyone can get involved. It is truly an opportunity to unleash the spirit of free thinking that can propel individuals — and hence a country — to middle-income status overnight. Anything that inhibits that spirit of youthful innovation, entrepreneurism and energy is a bad thing and that is exactly what this ICT Practitioners Bill will do — stifle enterprise. http://www.businessdailyafrica.com/Opinion-and-Analysis/Law-to-regulate-ICT-... Regards,
Richard makes good points - many of which we have already discussed here. I would add that ICT is a tool, which may be used for good or bad purposes - so is a knife, or panga, or hammer. Should we then have a 'Knife Practitioners Bill'? it makes a much sense! Only graduates from Utalii allowed! - and you may be fined or imprisoned for cooking a meal for friends!! Ah well... Have a good weekend folks :) Tony On 26/08/2016, Grace Mutung'u (Bomu) via kictanet <kictanet@lists.kictanet.or.ke> wrote:
