Oops! looks like we need some conflict-resolution mechanism for KICTAnet Listers...lately something seems to be hurting this Alex of ours and he has gone ballistic on most lists. walu. --- On Thu, 8/13/09, Gakuru Alex <[email protected]> wrote:

I obtained the attached confidentially. Last year I was accused of speaking about 'bad things' (i.e. stated the local problems facing consumers) when there were international visitors around.... The ICT Consumers Association is NOT welcome to kictanet internet governance meetings...
Go for the 'Kenya IGF' if just wish 'fill-up the room' - Maybe the organisers have already written their international IGF speeches and decided who will read them? The way things are done in Kenya...... most dissapointing, the "New Generation" is perpetuation old system ways...
everyone, please understand and excuse my silence on this henceforth...

Walubengo of theirs:), I am just upset by the lie of life led by them elites. The real question is are you one of them sustaining the status-quo or one of us, deep down here at the trenches? at some point one decides where they belong and assert their position. regards Alex On Fri, Aug 14, 2009 at 1:05 PM, Walubengo J<[email protected]> wrote:

Alex, I feel like am trial here, but I can say that the only reason I am NEITHER in the "trenches" NOR with the "elites" is because I am in the Academics. From that perspective am obliged to dissect, process and disseminate the ICT issues as they are - even when it may hurt the so called elites and occasionally those in the "trenches" ;-) The moment I feel compelled to do otherwise, I will quickly join any of those who have chosen to "hibernate" and eventually disengage from KICTAnet accordingly. walu. --- On Fri, 8/14/09, Gakuru Alex <[email protected]> wrote:

it's a matter of individual's decision.... it's your call.
The moment I feel compelled to do otherwise, I will quickly join any of those who have chosen to "hibernate" and eventually disengage from KICTAnet accordingly.
Excuse my history's poor record of running away from facing issues or challenges head on.

Children, Why does this sound like reggae to me?? Anyway, quality junk to help pass a slow friday afternoon. If I escape a timely response from Onyango Hatari, I will drink milk the whole night.
