Re: [kictanet] KICTANet Digest, Vol 168, Issue 15
The question that must be asked is how people *non-consensually* got registered as members of political parties. What does choosing either of the two resignation reasons mean? "Erroneously Registered" and "Remain Partyless". Why is my resignation "pending"? Scroll down on orpp.ecitizen.go.ke/dashboard and you might see a "*STAGE: PENDING RESIGNATION*". Can you be re-registered afterwards "erroneously"? Is an individual who has access to the ecitizen account the ONLY entity that has the ability/and right to register oneself as a member of a party? If not, why? Yours Kindly, Adrian ---------- Forwarded message ----------

There's one challenge with "resigning" from a party one never joined or registered to in the first place via ecitizen. The ORPP data base only captures that you were a member who has now resigned, not that your were fraudulently presented as a party member by the party.

Kathy I also did not know that I belonged to some party since May 5, 2020. I have never bothered to check. But this is wrong!

David, I had never checked which party I'm 'registered' under until now. I've always wondered what the flip side could be. Seeing as I have apparently been registered since July 2017 😂😂 if I wanted to run on that party, I could claim that as my membership right? As long as they don't ask me to pay for membership since 2017, then perhaps I could resign from this list to run for a position 😄. (It's wrong use of my information by eCitizen nevertheless even as I make light of it)

Dear Listers.,
With the 2022 Kenyan elections on the horizon, the electoral body has concluded the voter registration exercise and is currently set to audit the voter register.
On the other hand, do you know which party you have been registered under? Kindly do check out yourself, here <https://orpp.ecitizen.go.ke/services/1/apply/1>.
Are you mad you have been registered under the Azimio, UDA, TIP TIP, Jubilee or any other party and you would love to purge yourself from it? Worry not, you can self purge from that party here <https://orpp.ecitizen.go.ke/services/2/apply/2>. You will have a 7 days grace period for the request to be approved.
On a lighter note, who is resigning from the Listers Group to seek an electoral position?
