"I expect him to be forward-looking: To offer this market some ground-breaking model and not merely a new edition of the book "How to Break Up Safaricom and Other Stories". The innovation we hope to see is that which will make a much-needed mark in the job creation space, which this economy badly needs."

Thank you for sharing the article.

The statement captures well what industry is versus what the population is offered by most sector's - the inwards looking myopia in name of competition - creating own football pitch, setting the rules and playing without regard to the evolving (paying) fans.

For today's Business leaders worth talking with and of, the game is NOT in the myopia of what's going on now. Yes, many pundits wouldn't be positioned to stomach this.

Blessed day.

I'm a bit disappointed with the article. It's abit shallow. Besides which Mugo is just 60 days in. Whilst I may not agree entirely with the tactics right now, a CEO's arsenal to fight competition includes engaging on the regulatory front.

Bottomline, the writer has told us nothing that we don't already know.
