In 2015, the WSIS outcomes implementation will be reviewed by UN General Assembly in pursuance of the Resolution 60/252 and the paragraph 111 of the Tunis Agenda for the Information Society. UNESCO, in cooperation with ITU, UNCTAD and UNDP, is organizing the first WSIS +10 review meeting entitled "Towards Knowledge Societies for Peace and Sustainable Development". This meeting will assess the progress made, look at ongoing and future ICT trends and build a vision for new information/knowledge societies in the framework of the overall WSIS review process towards 2015. It is intended to bring together 600-800 physical and 1500 remote participants, including Ministers and high-level governmental officials, heads of IGOs, CEOs of the private sector and the civil society representatives.
