Looks like one of our own is one of the succesfull chaps who got a scholarship to attend the upcoming AfriNIC-16 meeting in Gambia.  Congrats are in order for Kivuva Mwendwa. Hope u learn something to keep the internet fire burning in Africa.

AfriNIC is pleased to announce that the fellowship selection process is
now complete and the following applicants (from 67 applications
received) were selected to receive a fellowship to attend the AfriNIC-16
Public Policy Meeting which will be held from 12 to 18 May 2012, The Gambia.

2. Mathias Hougbo from Benin
3. Mwendwa Kivuva from Kenya
4. Alex Kisakye from Uganda
5. Towela Jere from Malawi

Congratulations to the winners and we look forward to collaborating with
you in Internet development initiatives in the African Region.

We wish to thank you all for your applications and interest in attending
AfriNIC events and we look forward to your participation!

Please be advised that fellowships will also be offered for AfriNIC-17
and the community will be informed when the application period opens.
