It has been written remove the log (corruption) in your own eye (personal life | household | ethnic group | community | society) so that you can see clearly to remove the speck in your brother's eye (other people | ethnic groups | societies | cultures).
As such, my own primary concern is on who Uhuru Kenyatta supports for the Presidency on 2012 so that I can vote for him with a clear conscience in 2022. Being from the same ethnic group as UK helps me understand some of his values (e.g. freedom and security to trade in any part of Kenya & the EAC) more than I would understand those of a Rendille.. Is this tribalism? Maybe or maybe not..
Samuel,
Thanks for clarifying issues here. Your statement "... and we are all saying we need good governance fairness and equality.... my question is .... from who ?"
In blog discussions, the same questions are asked and whichever analysis (diagnosis) you take the prognosis is always urgly until we shed our tribalism which always is the overriding ideology. Can Rendile with the characteristics you describe be elected to lead? We voted for a new constitution to start a new chapter. Are we looking at a new clean slate for leadership?
Did the Judicial Service Commission send any message by nominating senior appointments off the wall? In my view, we are getting closer to the aspirations of our new constitution. All is not lost yet.
Ndemo.
