TikTok has established a Safety Advisory Council for Sub-Saharan Africa to promote a safe and positive platform environment on the Platform. The 8-member council comprises experts in youth safety, free expression, and hate speech from various fields, including policymakers, academics, NGOs, and community leaders. The council will collaborate with TikTok in shaping policies, product features, and safety processes to address evolving challenges.
