Kudos to Longhorn and Safaricom. Sadly, these initiatives will keep entrench inequity if we don’t have urgent interventions to guarantee access for every child. Alternatively, for every digital solution, they should design an alternative for those with no access. If one thing is apparent from the pandemic - access to the internet is a human rights issue. No other way about it. On Wed, 15 Apr 2020 at 13:55, Ali Hussein via kictanet < kictanet@lists.kictanet.or.ke> wrote:

Great point. No one should be left behind. I'm seeing great initiatives by corporations already. For example, Longhorn has announced a partnership with Safaricom for elearning. Free internet.

Dear Listers,
Wouldn’t this be an opportune time for USF to realize that last mile connectivity and subsidized internet access? We’re moving everything online- how about those who are left behind? -- *Mercy Mutemi, Advocate*.
