Bernard

My feelings on this board are not hidden. I have made them here.

Corruption, lavish living and travelling unnecessarily, lack of a focused strategy, employing overpaid, clueless prima donnas who acted as if the world owed them and overall poor management and oversight plagued this organization.

Actually, if it was properly audited, the ICT Board should see several individuals jailed and surcharged.

Know-it-alls employed within its ranks did nothing but stifle innovation and frustrate innovators.

The new authority should seek assistance with the crafting of its Vision and Mission which will then guide it in executing its mandate in a focused manner.

As I indicated when we were discussing the M-Pesa platform, I really don't like the stifling of innovation because when let free you never know what new things these minds will come up with. We need to allow for disruptive technologies to come up.

Regards

James

Listers,

Now that the ICT Board has been disbanded (or absorbed not sure which), my head has been active with the thoughts of what really went wrong there and what lessons can be learnt. How did that board not leave us with anything tangible or is it just me who didn’t follow on what they did.

I always felt (quietly) that the ICT Board was going about their initiatives in the wrong (or not practical) way but I kept silent because I always kept feeling its me who was wrong. Now, more and more now, am starting to think something was wrong there.

Anyone with any insights.

Kind Regards,
