Ali,
During the pilot phase for this proposition, we were told it will have bundled benefits, data, minutes. I hope it has not changed.

It's unlikely 'high-end" phones will be sold like that. But I do get your phone. Way back when Telkom was Telkom 😀 I got an iPhone on a 2-year contract. Basically it came with a data, voice plan for I think 6k a month. For two years. The great thing about the plan was that I was spending that amount or more anyway per month.
I don't mean to tell Safaricom how to do their business but most Telcos in Europe and the US have these contracts for their 'high-end' phones. Not sure why Safaricom doesn't have such plans.

These must be specifically for ''Low-End Priced phones''.
In a year 20*365 = KES 7,300/=
Hopefully, they have thought of a formula for Hign End Phones also.
Safaricom can reap on this if thought out properly.
*Thank you.*

Dear Listers,
Safaricom from Tuesday will start selling smartphones on credit to its subscribers who will make daily payments of as little as Sh20 a day for up to a year dubbed Lipa Mdogo Mdogo.
This is a novel idea from the telco in ensuring the 'access gap is closed" The CEO Peter Ndegwa says it will enable users to access 4G. https://bit.ly/2EnOOew
As this unfolds, the issue of:
1. affordability 2. right infrastructure - power 3. What are competitors doing?
Will still need to be addressed going forward.
