At Michael and the rest please have a look at http://www.yu.co.ke/company-profile and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vodafone_Essar to me it is clear that Vodafone now owns the Indian Essar operation which is the parent company of Yu Kenya. Local shareholding information is scanty.
