It is already being done in Kenya by someone I know. We did pitch this to the Rwandan Government and they were very interested they are just waiting for some NGOs to spec the tenders so that it can be rolled out.

Hi.

India has had an automated milk weighing system that not only weighs but checks the milk for fat content and processes payments (in some cases on the spot) so that farmers have no doubt what their milk is worth and when they'll get paid. I haven't heard of anything similar here and wondered if this would work here and probably also be adopted for other agricultural goods, especially maize. Is there anyone from USAID's Kenya Dairy Sector Competitiveness Project on the list to shed a little light?
