This is a complex argument with many sides.

In my honest opinion I think Kenya should do what Rwanda did. Take the bitter medicine and kick out the "strategic investors" who continue to bleed the company with expensive expatriate salaries, fat expense accounts, exorbitant "management fees" and poor decision making and look for local solutions. As it is, the investors have failed miserably to deliver on the promises that won them the deal in the first place.

Should the government continue to throw good money after bad? Or should we cut our losses and let management/new owners sort out the mess? 

What are these strategic assets that continue to remain in Telkom Kenya? 

My take is that the government is doing the right thing by stopping to send more money to the hemorrhaging former giant.
