Hi Robert, Currently the region is well served by the undersea cables although we are still building better restoration capabilities to guarantee availability 99% of the time, this has catered for the international circuit quite well. The challenge and focus is now on the back haul between major cities and border towns to serve neighboring countries.Once we have build enough redundancy in the local network then we will enjoy more reliable links. Also requiring equal effort is the last mile which currently is mainly wireless to the masses,in the long run we have not only to take fiber to exclusive areas but to all Kenyans at large. *Mahmoud Noor* * * *Mombasa Seacom Cable Station* * * *+254718999555* On Tue, Mar 1, 2011 at 8:16 AM, robert yawe <robertyawe@yahoo.co.uk> wrote:
Where should we be placing our emphasis in relation to link reliability and access speed, on the local or international circuit?
