I would hope that our ISOC-Ke leadership also participates in this meeting. but I would also caution against us seeming to or supporting the Government. We should support the greater public good as we are not Govt and must infact act as a check to Govt. therefore I 'd propose that the views given on the list and elsewhere eg kictanet by members to be used to develop a position that would guide our leadership in such engagement. i also propose that the chair and Secretary collate our views into a position statement for our endorsement. 2013/1/15, Grace Githaiga <ggithaiga@hotmail.com>:
Discussions between the communications industry regulator and a consumer lobby to come up with a new timeline for digital migration are set to begin before the end of this month. Communications Commission of Kenya director general Francis Wangusi on Tuesday told the Nation that the commission was setting up a team that would hold meetings with the Consumer Federation of Kenya (Cofek) to come up with an amicable deadline for the switch off of the analogue signal in Nairobi and other parts of the country. http://www.nation.co.ke/business/news/TV-switch-off-meetings-to-start/-/1006...
