I just took a look at the short presentation, and am sure that its edited, according to what I have read on this list. One thing captured my attention. I see that the IFC has been hired to carry out the feasibility study. Assuming that this refers to the International Monetary Fund, I would like to draw your attention to a couple of articles that have appeared in the Daily Nation today and a few days ago. Jaindi Kisero seems to know a few things about the IFC that we dont. He deeply believes that the IFC was overpaid for the Railways consultancy, which they bungled, as we can all see. This may be tied to the fact they were financing part of the deal. Assuming that they are also here to finance Malili, and yet get away with Millions of Dollars in consultancy, is this really the right way of getting ourselves in debt? Are these guys the best that we can get? Will we really get value for money? Will the project fail after Billions of our cash have been poured? ??? Sounds like Mblayo chuchaad (censored) part of the presentation or what? I also noted that what was uploaded was far smaller than what the PS presented - bt I imagined it was his (PS) decision. However from his rejoinder below that may not be the case? walu.

The presentation online <http://www.mediafire.com/?imw3htowfzk> only has six slides (and is a quite large file, so perhaps not everyone wants to download to check!) Perhaps this explains the disconnect?
Best,
Adam
Waudo, I must admit that I am embarrased to read your post. It is very clear that you did not go through the presentation even as you came late. Your WITSA colleagues have not gone through the presentation either. If they did, the ninth slide will have shown them clearly when we shall present the visibility study.
It is my considered view that feasibility studies are excuses to waste resources. We only do them to satisfy the curiosity of those trying to find reason why we should not expand the economy. In a highly competitive economy you them. However, you do not need someone to tell you that we need more beds in Nairobi to boost tourism or build a mass transport system. In fact the feasibility study of these projects was done when we decided to pursue the Vision 2030.
Have a wonderful week my brother.
Ndemo.
