Colleagues

I trust the month of October is off to a great start for you. The following may be of interest to some of you.

The University of Nottingham, the Regional Centre for Mapping of Resources for Development (RCMRD), the Global Open Data for Agriculture and Nutrition (GODAN) and Crops for the Future (CFF) are pleased to announce an AgriGIS Workshop and Think Tank meetings to be held at RCMRD, Nairobi, October 27-28, 2016.

The objectives of the workshop are to:
  • Promote  the use of Open software, open data and Open science in the agriculture sector in Africa using AgriGIS as an example
  • Share ideas from GRASP research and build more collaborations
  • Act as a springboard for GODAN capacity development activities
The workshop is free to attend. Participants have to make their own travel and accommodation arrangements if coming from outside Nairobi.

More details about the workshop and how to RSVP for it can be found  here -> http://www.nottingham.ac.uk/grace/events/eventsarticles/agrigis-workshop-and-think-tank-kenya.aspx
