Yes B Ndemo, Mpesa (or shall I say 'Mpisa' as it is sometimes referred to in Europe) has brought great respect for Kenya. However, I would not encourage a hush hush approach to problems that the service may experience. When customers complain in whatever way that they think will get them heard, the company and service improves e.g. the comprehensive response that has been sent out on this issue. If I may add, in the new Constitutional culture of transparency, Kenyans seem to get the best results when matters of public interest (and Mpesa now falls in this category) are handled publicly. regards, Wamuyu Quoting bitange@jambo.co.ke:
Mpesa has changed our image. We are all working to shape it and become a truely Kenyan innovation. It is a new product that in a few years will be even better. Like a new pride in a home, the family does not go public to tell all and sundry that she chews food with her mouth open.
The African way is to use a third party to pass the message politely. I offer to be the intermediary if Robert has exhausted all channels. We have only heard his side of the story. To save the Pride and our pride, let us try my proposal.
Ndemo.
